Shipping & Delivery Policy

At Esthetic Cakes Cakery, every order is freshly baked and carefully prepared to ensure it arrives in the best possible condition. Please read our Shipping & Delivery Policy before placing your order.

Delivery Areas

We currently deliver to selected areas within Johannesburg and surrounding areas. Delivery availability is determined by your delivery address during checkout.

If your location falls outside our delivery zone, please contact us before placing your order to discuss available options.

Delivery Fees

Delivery charges are calculated based on the delivery location and will be displayed at checkout before payment is completed.

Additional charges may apply for:

• Long-distance deliveries
• Early morning or late evening deliveries
• Large celebration or wedding cakes requiring specialized transport

Delivery Times

Deliveries are completed during our standard business hours unless otherwise arranged.

While we do our best to deliver within the agreed delivery window, delays may occasionally occur due to traffic, weather conditions, road closures, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Order Processing

As all cakes and baked goods are made to order:

• Standard orders should be placed at least 48 hours in advance.
• Custom celebration cakes may require 5–7 days' notice, depending on the complexity of the design.
• Wedding and large event cakes should be booked several weeks in advance to secure availability.

Delivery Responsibility

Please ensure that:

• Someone is available at the delivery address to receive the order.
• The delivery address and contact details provided are accurate.

If no one is available to accept delivery, additional delivery charges may apply for a second delivery attempt.

Once the order has been delivered to the address provided, responsibility for the products passes to the customer.

Product Care During Delivery

Our cakes are transported with great care to maintain their quality.

After delivery, customers should:

• Refrigerate cakes if instructed.
• Store products according to the care instructions provided.
• Avoid leaving cakes in direct sunlight or inside a hot vehicle.

We cannot accept responsibility for damage that occurs after successful delivery due to improper handling or storage.

Collection Orders

Customers choosing collection are responsible for transporting cakes safely.

We recommend:

• Placing the cake on a flat, level surface inside your vehicle.
• Keeping the vehicle cool using air conditioning.
• Avoiding sudden braking, sharp turns, and uneven roads where possible.

Once the order has been collected, responsibility for the product transfers to the customer.

Incorrect Delivery Information

Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery details.

Esthetic Cakes Cakery is not responsible for delays or failed deliveries resulting from incorrect addresses, incorrect contact information, or the recipient being unavailable.

Additional delivery charges may apply if re-delivery is required.

Damaged Orders

If your order arrives damaged due to transportation by Esthetic Cakes Cakery, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery and provide clear photographs of the product and packaging.

Where appropriate, we will assess the issue and determine whether a replacement, repair, store credit, or refund is suitable.
